Position Description
IMT Partners is looking for a highly qualified Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing Sales organization. IMT Partners is the leader in storage total cost of ownership (TCO) management with our unique industry-only appliance Enterprise Storage Cost Manager™ (eSCM™) appliance. Our core solutions help clients to avoid and reduce TCO associated with delivering storage services to end users, include: Active Storage Cost Management™, Advanced Data Classification™, Proactive Storage Capacity Forecasting and Management™, Score-based Backup and Recoverability Risk Assessment, and Automated e-Discovery.
A successful candidate must possess the ability to manage account and client relationships and the ability to speak with top-level IT and storage management about their business challenges and how IMT Partners’ solutions can help them to avoid and reduce their storage TCO.
The candidate must have experience in selling high-value software and hardware products to senior-level management, customer relationship management techniques and using contact relationship management software, a proven track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in contiguous, multiple years, thorough understanding of the negotiation process, the ability to understand and articulate IMT Partners’ market and product strategies; and a good understanding of the storage technology markets.
Desired qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 5 or more years of experience selling enterprise solutions into large and complex organizations (Fortune 2000)
- Demonstrated success with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques are essential
- Ability to compile lists of prospective clients (focus primarily in the East Coast initially) for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources
- Experience with analyzing client needs and recommending solutions that best meets Client's requirements
- Emphasizing salable features of IMT Partners product and solutions
- Establishing IMT Partners as the leader in storage TCO management to the clients or prospect
- Experience with writing Statement of Work (SOW) and delivering it to clients, prospects and channel partners
- Experience in quoting prices and credit terms and preparing sales contracts for purchase orders
- Estimating date of delivery of product and services to client, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules
- Consulting with staff engineers on highly technical problems; preparing reports of business transactions;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with purchasing contacts
- Investigating and resolving client issues and problems.
- Ability to organize and conduct sales presentations/product demonstrations
Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience
